Term 4 Kids' Art Classes Schedule

Week 1 (8th & 9th October):

  • Tuesday: Drawing Basics
    Objective: Children will learn to create fun characters and objects by exploring simple shapes and lines, building foundational drawing skills.

  • Wednesday: Watercolour Painting
    Objective: Introducing children to watercolour techniques, focusing on creating landscapes with watercolour pencils to develop colour blending and brush control.

Week 2 (15th & 16th October):

  • Tuesday: Animal Portraits
    Objective: Guided drawing sessions where children will create their favourite animal portraits, enhancing observation skills and creativity.

  • Wednesday: Pastel Magic
    Objective: Exploring soft pastel blending to create vibrant sunsets or ocean scenes, helping kids understand colour transitions and texture.

Week 3 (22nd & 23rd October):

  • Tuesday: Storybook Illustration
    Objective: Children will design their own mini picture books, learning to convey a story visually with a series of 4-6 frames.

  • Wednesday: Acrylic Techniques
    Objective: Introduction to basic acrylic painting techniques on paper, focusing on brushwork and simple colour mixing.

Week 4 (29th & 30th October):

  • Tuesday: Cartoon Characters
    Objective: Kids will learn to draw cartoon characters, exploring expression, movement, and storytelling through art.

  • Wednesday: Still Life Painting
    Objective: Painting everyday objects like fruits or toys, concentrating on light, shadow, and colour blending.

Week 5 (5th & 6th November):

  • Tuesday: Nature-Inspired Art
    Objective: Drawing inspiration from nature, children will create art featuring leaves, flowers, and other natural elements, focusing on form and detail.

  • Wednesday: Impressionist Painting
    Objective: Learning to paint in the style of famous artists like Monet or Van Gogh, with a focus on brushstroke techniques and colour impressions.

Week 6 (12th & 13th November):

  • Tuesday: Abstract Shapes and Colours
    Objective: Experimenting with abstract art, kids will learn to express emotions and ideas through shapes and colours using various mediums.

  • Wednesday: Under the Sea
    Objective: Creating underwater scenes, teaching kids to layer colours and use different tools to achieve unique textures.

Week 7 (19th & 20th November):

  • Tuesday: Comic Strip Creations
    Objective: Designing original comic strips, encouraging creativity in storytelling and character development.

  • Wednesday: Mixed Media Drawing
    Objective: Combining drawing with collage techniques, fostering creativity through the use of various materials.

Week 8 (26th & 27th November):

  • Tuesday: Portraits with a Twist
    Objective: Fun portrait drawing with a focus on expression and personal style, encouraging self-reflection and confidence.

  • Wednesday: Holiday Art
    Objective: Creating a holiday-themed artwork, perfect for gifting, while exploring festive motifs and techniques.

Week 9 (3rd & 4th December):

  • Tuesday: Fantasy Creatures Drawing
    Objective: Kids will learn to draw their favourite fantasy creatures, such as dragons, unicorns, or mythical animals, using step-by-step techniques to develop imagination and drawing skills.

  • Wednesday: Art Inspired by Music
    Objective: Kids will listen to different styles of music and create art inspired by the sounds they hear, encouraging them to interpret music through visual expression.

Week 10 (10th & 11th December):

  • Tuesday: Landscape Masterpieces
    Objective: Kids will explore different landscape styles, from realistic to surreal, using a variety of drawing and painting techniques to develop their skills in perspective and depth.

  • Wednesday: Creative Pattern Making
    Objective: Children will learn to create unique patterns using different shapes, lines, and colours. This will help them understand repetition, rhythm, and harmony in design.

14th September: Animal Adventures – Draw various animals, from pets to wild creatures, with a focus on details and expressions.

21st September: Cartoon Characters – Learn to draw popular cartoon characters, emphasising expressions and storytelling.

28th September: Self-Portraits with a Twist – Draw self-portraits with fun elements like favourite hobbies or dream outfits.

5th October: Beach and Ocean Scenes – Create drawings of beach scenes, including waves, surfboards, and sea creatures.

12th October: Fantasy Worlds – Draw mythical creatures, castles, and magical landscapes inspired by imagination.
